Hey guys.. I was wondering, If you do a dungeon just in HM, would you get points(for Master of the North) for the NM and HM of that dungeon??

Sadly no. You'll need to do them in both modes regardless. Hard Mode completion only counts for Hard Mode.

Keep in mind there are actually more MotN points to get than it's required to max out the title. It lets you either have some chunks of map still covered or ignore one of the dungeons in either mode, and still get the max rank.

Just wondered, can HM dungeons be done without doing NM first? I know with missions and vanq require NM first but dunno if the same rule applies to dungeons.

yes you can do a dungeon in Hm before NM. you can even do a mission in HM before NM as long as you have HM unlocked.

Okay, this answers the exact questions I had.
The problem is, I don't remember which dungeons I've done in NM since like the poster I went almost straight to HM. I suppose there is no way to tell? Guess I'll just have to go back and do them. =\ |

The icon for the dungeon is different depending on whether you've done it or not. A completed dungeon is a gold open treasure chest and an incompleted dungeon is a cave entrance.
Pictures here, if you want to see them. The HM incomplete icon is the same as the NM one, but it's red instead.

OMG, I'm such a dork. **facepalm* If I just put the danged game in NM I can see which dungeons I'm missing in NM. DOH! BTW, I don't have ANY dungeons in NM, lol. That's a lot of points right there. At least NM dungeons are easy with heros.
I did notice that I'm missing Vloxen and Fronis Irontoe's lair in HM. I'm going to have to skip Irontoe because as a rit, I just don't see how I can do it in HM. But, since there are extra points, maybe that's the dungeon I'll skip. And I can just wait until Zoldark is the Zbounty and then it'll be easy to get a group for Vloxen (icky dungeon even in NM). |

Just do it like you did it in NM. It's a popular place to farm the Survivor title, doable for all professions, regardless of any circumstances. It's probably the easiest 'dungeon' out there. |

In NM, I barely made it. In HM, I died in the second area and just didn't try again since I really don't like that dungeon with my rit. It was really fun with my assassin, that dungeon seemed to go well with her skills. I read wiki and the suggestions for HM didn't get me very excited. To tell the truth, I enjoy vanquishing and mapping, so I'll just do that and skip the HM part of this dungeon. Ps. I think the easiest dungeon in HM is either Bloodstone Caves or Secret Lair of the Snowmen. Sometimes I have to double check to make sure I'm in HM. |

if you switch to a sin 2ndary and raise your dagger skills, it helps. map several keys to your 8th skill on your bar so you can spam the skill when you get knocked down. it's really easy even in HM.
